This system installed in East Yorkshire was completed just before Christmas 2015, one of the last of its kind installed before the Jan ’16 tariff cuts. Supplying this pig farm and two domestic properties the system was installed with an export meter in place to gain payment for any surplus generation.
The majority of the sites daytime energy will now be supplied by the 110kWp PV system which can generate close to 100,000kWhs annually. Powering feed unit motors, water pumps and a grain drying unit this type of system has become a standard feature across the agriculture heartland of East Yorkshire.
