This 140kWp installation at Crossroads Farm was an addition to a previously installed 50kWp installation.
The new 140kWp increases the sites annual generation to over 160,000kWh, combined with an existing bio-mass heating system the poultry units on this site now run almost
solely from renewable generation, even throughout winter months when the demand for heat is intensified.
Mounted in a narrow strip of land to the east of the site, this installation is made up of nine banks of modules utilising an area of land that was otherwise only used as pasture.
Installing a solar PV system here has enabled the client to boost the profitability of the land by continuing the grazing of land with sheep whilst also benefiting from the
financial paybacks from the solar PV.
This installation was undertaken in April 2015 and took a little under 2 weeks to install.
